This Blog-Elector's Journey

So, in May of 2008, I attended the Washington State Democratic Convention and got myself selected to be one of the 2 At-Large Democratic Electors for Washington State. With Washington's selection of Barack Obama in the November election, the process began for myself and the other 10 Democratic Electors to join together in Olympia on Dec 15th to offically cast our electoral ballots for President-Elect Obama. I will go and sign my name and my official duties will be done. However, as I was informed after my electoral election, electors are by tradition given tickets to the inauguration and when I told my mom this, she lept at the chance and asked to come along. So this blog is being created to document our experience and reflections around this most exciting set of events. Mom thought it would be neat to have an intergenerational record of this moment in time and what it means to us. We hope you enjoy and invite you to follow along with us.
